The transformations that sick and neglected animals make are always amazing to witness.
Sadly, many animals are often found alone and frightened after their suffering. It is their darkest moment, but if they wind up in the hands of a good rescuer and/or organization, then they are lucky.
Things got a little rough for 6-year-old Cotton after his family moved to a smaller home. The cat was an indoor and outdoor cat, and he seems to truly enjoy the outdoors. But after the move, he disappeared. By the time someone else found him, he was already covered in mange and malnourished, and his family couldn’t take him back in.
His mange was so bad, his entire face was crusted over and he could not open his eyes. Thankfully the man who found him got in contact with Carmen Weinberg, the woman in charge of the nonprofit Animal Friends Project.
Carmen got Cotton the medical care he desperately needed, but was shocked to discover that Cotton had been hiding his beautiful eyes. Thank goodness he opened them!
